Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 July 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and YogaTimer regarding your use of the service available at https://yogatimer.co.uk. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who can use YogaTimer

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract in the United Kingdom (or your country of residence). If you are using YogaTimer on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

3. The service

YogaTimer provides tools to build, save, and play yoga sequences, including live timer playback, audio cues, and optional Bluetooth remote control. We provide the service "as available". Features may change, be added, or be removed over time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.

4. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • You may not share your account with others or sell access to it.
  • Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis via Stripe.
  • Prices are shown at checkout and include VAT where applicable.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel from the billing portal on your account page.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of the current billing period, subject to the statutory refund rights described in our Refund Policy.
  • If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until the payment is resolved.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or bypass security or rate-limiting controls.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or crawl the service beyond normal use.
  • Upload content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property, or violates any third party's rights.
  • Use the service to send spam, harass others, or distribute malware.
  • Resell the service or expose its API to third parties without our written permission.

Breaches of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account.

7. Your content

You own the sequences and content you create. By storing content on YogaTimer, you grant us a limited licence to host, back up, and display that content to you as necessary to provide the service. We do not claim any right to your content beyond what is needed to operate the service.

8. Health and safety disclaimer

YogaTimer is a scheduling and timer tool. It is not medical advice. Yoga carries a risk of physical injury. You are responsible for your own practice and the safety of anyone you teach using the service. Consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise programme.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we exclude all implied warranties. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

10. Availability and downtime

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced where reasonably possible. Unplanned outages, hosting-provider issues, and force majeure events are not grounds for compensation beyond the statutory rights set out in our Refund Policy.

11. Termination

  • You can close your account at any time from the account page.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. We will give reasonable notice unless immediate suspension is required to prevent harm or comply with law.
  • On termination, your access to paid features ends. Data deletion follows the timeline in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via a banner in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers in the EU retain any rights they have to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
